such is life!

Hi everyone, I've been rather seriously sick these past few weeks, and still went on playing shows so I effectively became sick-er, and that really "helped" things.

Being sick and stuck at home the entire week gives you lots of room to think though, yes my favourite pastime! drowning in my own thoughts! that's a lovely pastime. i'd plant my butt somewhere in the household with a huge bottle of water next to me, stone, finish the bottle, and run to the loo to pee. detox like mad sia really. drink, pee, drink, pee, drink, pee, i swear my urine has never been more transparent. its not even yellow, its frigging transparent. thats supposed to be good, right?

Anyway i've been thinking about life in general, what i'm doing with it, money, and how life revolves around money, God, and how i think people are too kiasu about Him. And of course I've been thinking about my band. Suddenly everyone's damn on about everything, damn enthusiastic, everyones looking forward to everything and its damn shiok. We're finally improving and it feels good. cant wait to start recording. actually i cant wait to just finish doing the entire album and launch the damn thing. haha but all in due time.

I'll talk about money, life, life and money, and religion another time.
I've suddenly lost the will to discuss this.

Oh and NYP jam and hop was awesome and spectacular. biggest crowd we've ever played to. im damn appreciative, that show was damn awesome. the stage was huge and the monitors were actually usefull. and everyone was so supportive! here are a few peektures. just a few. the rest are on facebook. hafiz smalls took them all and i think he's an excellent photographer.

SUCH IS LIFE!

This is one weird ass post.

I hate waking up realizing that you're still sick and in a state of extreme discomfort. I hate feeling so incredibly tired, too tired to get out of bed but you just have to cause you need to pee really badly. I hate looking at your wallet and realizing you have no cash for the third time this week. I hate looking at your cell phone which is buzzing so loudly when all you want and need to do is rest all day. I hate looking at your messy room which has Zachary Poh's briefs still on your floor. Which is absolutely disgusting. Our sleepovers are gay.

Okay I'm done being cranky. I may very well be a schizo, I swear.

We've got too many shows this month. Hope you could be kind enough to watch at least one or two.

Next one is this Thursday, 22nd May, at Butterfactory with Triad and Armchair Critic. Entry costs 15 bucks at the door. You get a lots and lots of food and a free flow of drinks. we're on at 7.30pm. After that, we're playing at Nanyang Poly on Friday, 23rd May, with Plainsunset for Jam and Hop. It's free, but you have to tell us in advance if youre going, if youre not a student from NYP. Tell Saf and he'll fix you up. We're on at 7.30pm here too.

We're playing at Homeclub with Silhouette on Saturday, the 31st of May as well. more info about that soon. just keep checking our myspace.

And the day after that, Sunday, 1st June, we're playing at Loof (it's a new and nice place) with Silhouette again, Caracal, Cardinal Avenue, and Armchair Critic. Yup, and then we'll be taking a break for the rest of june to finish writing and to start recording the album.

Then, we've got another show on the 4th of July at Nanyang Poly again. I'll give you guys more info when I have it.

Then there's the Salad Days weekend trip shows. july - september. I'll definitely update when I get more info about these shows.

Even though I've done alot of things which, when looked back on, I'd be better off without,

It's weird cause the full impact of Stoplights has never really hit me.
Till now.
I'm rambling but I don't care.

I've been rather restless all week,
But during the course of yesterday and today,
I'm actually much more relaxed than I've ever been.
Time to start working on some stuff that's really overdue.
Fuck man, the day we have an album to our name,
That's when I'll really take my hands off the wheel,
And finally be able to kick back and relax.
